Dubai Parking Timings [Complete Guide]

Dubai is one of the largest commercial centers in the world. Residents live there in order, parking rules are very strict.

Previously, parking zones in Dubai were divided into four zones: B, A, F and E. However, according to the current situation, parking zones are divided into only three categories: special zones, non-commercial zones and commercial zones field.

Zone B 8 am to 10 pm
Zone C 8 am to 10 pm
Zone D 8 am to 10 pm
Zone E 8 am to 11 pm
Zone F 8 am to 6 pm
Zone G 8 am to 10 pm

On-street parking in the commercial area is in zone A, and parking in this zone is AED 4 per hour, AED 8 per 2 hours and AED 12 per 3 hours.

All commercial parking is considered Zone B and fees may include AED 3 per hour, AED 6 per 2 hours, AED 8 per 3 hours, AED 12 per 4 hours, AED 15 per 5 hours and AED 20 for 24 hours.

Street parking in non-commercial areas is in zone C and can cost AED 2 per hour, AED 5 per 2 hours, AED 8 per 3 hours, AED 11 per 4 hours.

Non-commercial parking is divided into Zone D. The fee for this zone includes AED 2 per hour, AED 5 per 2 hours, and AED 8 per 3 hours and AED 10 per 24 hours.

Special Areas parking

Area E was previously set aside for the Deira Fish Market, but is now home to the Deira Fish Market and is now called the Seaside Market. This area includes free underground parking and paid public parking.

Parking fees in the Tecom zone apply to Zone F. Parking fees may include AED 2 per hour, AED 5 every two hours, AED 8 every three hours, and AED 11 every four hours. Paid parking in Downtown Dubai is located in zone G.

Parking during Ramadan

Parking times in Dubai are regulated by the Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) during Ramadan.

Parking is free during the holy month of Ramadan. During Ramadan, paid parking is available from 8:00 to 18:00 and from 20:00 to 12:00. Parking plays an important role in Dubai, and parking at the right time is what makes it differently organized.

How to pay the Parking fee?

  • Smart parking

Smart Parking is a free parking app, you can use it, it will not charge you for any transactions you use it.

  • Seasonal parking card

You can get seasonal parking cards with different denominations and validity periods. Seasonal parking cards are categorized as A, B and T and are valid for three, six and nine months.

  • Coins

The parking fee can be paid in coins at the nearest parking machine.

Nol cards are used in Dubai for many purposes, such as paying for metro and parking. You only need to use your Nol card to buy a parking ticket and the money will be debited from the card.

  • M-parking

Send SMS in the following format

Number of hours from license plate (space), area code (space) to 7275. Thanks to this, you can also receive alerts every hour and update parking tickets. A SMS fee of 30 fils will be charged.

  • Prepaid cards

Prepaid cards can be found in supermarkets, grocery stores, etc. Denomination of AED 30 and AED 100 are only accepted. As long as the prepaid card is inserted into the corresponding slot of the parking machine, the commission will be automatically deducted from the prepaid card.

Parking fines

  • Failure to pay a parking ticket will cost you AED 150.
  • Exceeding the parking time will be charged AED 100.
  • No parking fees: AED 1,000.
  • Parking in a no parking area will be charged AED 200.
  • A fine of AED 1,000 will be charged for using unauthorized parking spaces.
