Dubai’s Zip24 raises $1.2 million for its logistics SaaS products

Dubai-based logistics software as a service (SaaS) startup zip24 has raised $ 1.2 million in pre-production funding led by London-based Sturgeon Capital and business angels from the UK and GCC countries. These include Hayaat Group, Teqvisory, and Robert Kay.

Zip24 was founded by former Amazon (MENA) executives Muzaffar Karabaev and Asif Keshodia earlier this year and currently offers two products; Shipox is a shipping management software and Storfox is a warehouse management system. The startup has served over 100 e-commerce sellers, retailers, logistics companies, FMCG companies and restaurants in over 20 countries.

Sturgeon-Capital is a London-based venture capital firm specializing in investing and helping to build leading technology companies in emerging and emerging markets. It is geared towards technical support companies, and the products or services provided by these companies solve unattended and acute problems in a huge potential market.

Its co-founders have extensive experience in e-commerce and logistics. Muzaffar is a serial entrepreneur who founded and ran Internet businesses in Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to founding Zip24, he was the CEO of Wing, an on-demand e-commerce startup he founded in 2016. In late 2017, Wing was acquired by Amazon MENA (then Souq.com). Asif Keshodia served as CFO for Souq.com Group and Regional CFO for Amazon MENA (after Souq was acquired by Amazon).

The two have spent a lot of time working closely with vendors and other stakeholders in the regional e-commerce ecosystem and understanding their pain points. To solve the logistical problem, they jointly launched Zip24.

Zip24’s customers include more than 100 e-commerce merchants, retailers, logistics, fast-moving consumer goods companies and restaurants.

zip24’s solution enables their customers to save a lot of revenue, which would otherwise be lost to expensive delivery and fulfillment service providers.

The latest round of US$1.2 million in financing will fund the expansion of zip24’s technology, product and operations teams in Tashkent, Dubai and London. Zip24 is committed to becoming the leading e-commerce logistics technology enabler for customers.

This funding round will be used to further expand the technology, product, support and sales / marketing group, especially at zip24’s main operating base in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Zip24 plans to strengthen operations by deploying direct sales and support staff in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and expanding its UK operations in the second half of 2021.

Zip24 focuses on the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Pakistan and Central Asia, but more than 100 of our clients are located in more than 20 countries.

New products

Zip24 is currently improving the delivery and execution of its SaaS cloud stack, Shipox and Storfox, respectively.

Shipox provides users with complete delivery management software (DMS) from order creation to delivery.

Shipox also provides unique features such as white label apps, driver apps and real-time tracking of all delivery personnel and vehicles. It can also provide plugins and integration mechanisms to connect various ecommerce operators from Magento to Shopify.

Shipox also provides easy delete functionality for orders, including batch / CSV files from e-commerce websites, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, and more.

New zip24 features Storfox is a cloud-based order fulfillment engine that can provide a one-stop solution for e-commerce / 2PL / 3PL logistics, warehouse management and order fulfillment companies.
