The main activity of Dnata is to provide cargo and ground handling, catering and travel services. Emirates and Dnata are independent entities and do not form a group as defined by IFRS. However, these entities are managed together. Therefore, they are collectively referred to as the Emirates Group.

The Emirates University Library is designed to enrich the learning process and provide materials and resources to meet the curriculum and general information needs of students and faculty.
In addition to books, professional journals, and magazines, the library also provides access to a variety of online resources on campus. The library works with the academic department of the university to provide the necessary academic resources for all aviation, tourism and management courses taught by the university. The library is also a popular learning area for students, providing a lending service that allows students to borrow books and other resources to study at home.
The university offers activities like sports and social activities to keep the students stress free. The University encourages physical activity to promote the health of students. There are football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, cricket, swimming, table tennis and billiards on campus. Several university sports teams participate in local and national competitions and are welcome to join new members.
