Things to do in winter in Dubai

One of the most populous city in the UAE and one city which is synonymous to art. The city has the most luxurious, ultramodern architecture and the liveliest nightlife. The city is home to the 830-meter tall skyscraper Burj Khalifa which glorifies the skyline. At the foot of the Burj Khalifa is the Dubai fountain which is known for its choreographed dance. People all around the world come from different countries to see the magnificent fountain dance. Dubai from a desert evolved into a city of modern infrastructure and due to its rapid development, the city has become a tourist attraction and offers everything a tourist could ever ask for.

The idea of time to visit Dubai is during the winter. Dubai being a tropical city has hot and humid summers. So it’s best advised to visit Dubai in winter as it would be a bit cooler and you can easily indulge in outdoor activities.

When in Dubai make sure to come for a long vacation as the city has a lot to offer which cannot be covered in a few days.

1.     Palm Jumeirah

Island in Dubai which is the smallest of the three planned islands. The tree-shaped island has grand hotels, upmarket fancy restaurants, and posh apartments. The island has a variety of food truck on the streets which offer food snacks like shawarma, the islands have beach clubs with spas and infinity pools which turn into night clubs with live music by the DJs.

2.     Dubai fountain show

If you are in Dubai and you don’t witness the Dubai Fountain dance then your trip isn’t worth it. It is the most alluring tourist attraction that people around the world come to see. The second-largest choreographed dance which has a range of 900 feet can shower 22,000 gallons of water at a moment. It has 6,600 lights and 50 color projectors which makes it more attractive. 

3.     Burj Khalifa

The man-made engineering wonder stands tall at 2,722 feet. It is a mega skyscraper which is the tallest building in the world. People who come to Dubai visit the Burj Khalifa which gives a magnificent view of the city. The view of the city shows the powdery desert and the ultramarine ocean.

4.     Jumeirah Mosque

The Jumeirah Mosque is another wonderful place to explore while visiting Dubai in December. Especially in January, it is the most photographed mosque in Dubai. Another feature of this place is that it is the only mosque in Dubai that welcomes non-Muslim tourists. It “opens the door. The 141-acre water park has the worlds’ largest water slide and it has a huge white sand beach to relax. Moreover, the park offers beach games, restaurants, underwater aquarium. The park is a must when in Dubai.

7.     Dubai Creek

Dubai Creek is a saltwater river located in Dubai (UAE), United Arab Emirates. It previously extended to the Las Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, but as part of the new Dubai Canal, it extended to the Persian Gulf. This natural saltwater creek is also one of the most famous attractions of Dubai in December. The Dubai Creek runs through the city center and divides it into two halves Bur Dubai in the south and Deirah in the north. Travelers can take a boat trip with family, friends or companions to get to another part of the city from this sparkling stream.

8.     Sheikh Al Maktoum House

A historical building that once served as the house to the former rule of Dubai. The building now serves as a historical museum that has all the collectibles and pictures which give the tourists and travelers an insight into the cultural background and history of Dubai. The architecture speaks volumes for the traditions and culture of Dubai.
