The Blu G91 Pro delivers a reasonably good all-round experience at an attractive price point. Gaming performance is surprisingly good, the camera system is much better than the G90 Pro, and the large LCD is a welcome addition. Regardless, battery life while gaming isn't impressive, and Blu's poor privacy history shouldn't be underestimated.

Following on from last year's G90 Pro, the G91 Pro is powered by a Mediatek Helio G90 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 256GB. The device is available in two colors: graphite and moon. The box contains a mobile phone, a rubber case, a 30W charger, a tempered glass screen protector, a 3.5mm headset, and a USB-A to USB-C data cable.
The device is priced at $ 249, but Blu is currently offering early adopters a limited-time $ 100 promotion. It is unclear how long this transaction will last, so if you are interested in this phone, please quickly join the promotion. The G91 Pro is designed to compete with mobile phones like the Moto G Power ($ 249) and OnePlus Nord N200 ($ 240). The G91 Pro is currently available in the United States, but Blu has not detailed any plans for a global release.
Last year's G90 Pro had a pretty good design at the time, and this year was no exception. There are a few minor improvements over the previous model, but the most important update here is the new display. The G91 Pro is equipped with a 6.7-inch Full HD + display. Its resolution is slightly better than last year's G90 Pro, but the biggest difference is the punch-hole camera. Thus, the screen appears to be more immersive. Remember this is an LCD panel, so it won't have the deep blacks of an OLED screen. It's also locked at 60Hz, so don't expect the smoothest animation.
With these considerations in mind, it's still a pretty good screen for cheap phones. Colors are accurate, contrast is good, and sharpness is excellent. Fortunately, the panel will not be affected by the over sharp effects that other cheap mobile phone displays have.
Blu has made some very aggressive statements about the battery life and charging times of the G91 Pro. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery and Blu claims it will last three full days. Unfortunately, this is not the case. In everyday use, the phone lasts for the next day, and the screen turns on for about five to six hours. It's not bad anyway, but as soon as you enter heavy games or perform any tasks that require high performance, the phone freezes quickly.
About an hour and a half of playing can easily shrink a phone from 100% to 50%. However, my day to day work (including browsing social media, light mobile games, some photos and watching YouTube videos) is not a big problem for the device.
