Honor View30 Pro Detail Specification

The line between flagship and mid-range smartphones is becoming increasingly blurred. The latest version of the Chinese electronics giant Huawei's sub-brand Honor V30 Pro offers very similar performance to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro-only half the price.

The three most important hardware components of a smartphone are the screen, processor, and camera. In Honor V30 Pro, two of these three are the same as two of the more expensive Mate 30 Pro. V30 Pro runs on Huawei's latest 7nm Kirin 990 5G processor. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 will reach the highest level until next month. V30 Pro is currently the most powerful processor that can be used in phones running the Google Android operating system. As the name suggests, the Kirin chip already supports 5G, and-temporarily receives technical support-supports Independent Access (S.A.) and Non-Independent Access (NSA) frequency bands. This makes the Honor V30 Pro a “dual-mode” 5G phone, while rival phones (such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G) only support single-mode.
The phone's primary camera has a 40-megapixel f / 1.6 lens, which is the same as the primary camera of the Mate 30 Pro. Therefore, V30 Pro is the top product in terms of computing power and capturing standard images. Although the LCD is slightly different from the Mate 30 Pro's outstanding, eye-catching ultra-curved OLED panel, it is not inferior, offers 500 nits of brightness, can be easily viewed outdoors, and the colors are accurate and vivid.

Software and features
Due to the ban imposed by the U.S. government, Honor V30 Pro, like Huawei Mate 30 Pro, comes with an open-source version of Android 10 and does not have a core Google application called Google Mobile Services (GMS).
Although there may be a cracking program to port the Google application on the phone to the phone, as the Huawei Mate 30 Pro finally appeared, I tested the sales of the phone and found that the lack of GMS was significant trouble. Still, it did not weaken to that extent. The phone is unavailable.
On the one hand, Honor's email client supports Gmail and can access applications like YouTube through a web browser. Other ubiquitous apps like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter also work because they are not part of GMS. But without Google Maps is a problem-running the service through a web browser loses key navigation features, and the map alternatives in Huawei's app store look pale compared to Google. Since the U.S. ban, Huawei has been trying to nurture its application ecosystem and build its mobile services. Although I believe that Huawei has the resources and political support to make an excellent alternative to the Google Play Store eventually, Huawei has a long way to go. Currently, Huawei's app store is a mess: pop-up ads are flooding, and most of the available apps are written in simplified Chinese description.

Performance and Battery Life
In terms of camera performance, although the image may look too cold, you can expect Huawei RYYB sensors to provide the industry's best low-light performance. Other primary camera lenses are a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. Of these two lenses, the wide-angle lens is more interesting because it is custom-made by Huawei, and it is a 16: 9 sensor that can make wide-angle images more cinematic. However, it provides a narrower field of view than all other wide-angle lenses on current phones. The 16: 9 sensor, on the other hand, reduces barrel distortion and retains significantly more detail in the middle of the photo. Generally, wide-angle images taken with the V30 Pro are sharper and closer to those made by the primary camera than those made with other phones. Two front lenses are used for selfies.
