Extending battery life is one of the critical aspects that people consider when choosing a smartphone. This is why LG has developed an X power model with a, particularly long battery runtime. The past LG X Power and LG X power2 versions are beautiful, although the price of LG X power2 is a bit high for the products to be offered. Display
Compared with new ultra-thin displays, the 16: 9 aspect ratio makes the LG X power3 look a bit fat and outdated. The wide bezels above the screen and below the screen have also been outdated for about a year. The LG X power3 has a lot in common with its two-year-old predecessor-only the fingerprint reader, and shiny blue back cover make things a bit annoying. The device is a bit heavier than its predecessor, but still weighs 171 grams, which is acceptable. Although we did notice some indentations and pressure points on the screen during the warpage test, the craftsmanship of the plastic case was excellent. The widescreen smartphone is not very suitable for small hands, but it feels very comfortable due to its sleek edges.

Storage and software
The X Power series finally has a model with more internal storage: 32 GB is much larger than 16 GB. Users can expand the storage capacity with a microSD card. In addition to two SIM card slots, the phone also provides a dedicated microSD card slot. Smartphones can handle SD cards formatted with exFAT well. However, SD cards can only be used as external storage devices, which means you cannot store applications on them. 2 GB of RAM is slightly below the current standard in this price range. Now, most similar smartphones offer 3 GB of storage.
The LG X power3 still comes with Android 8.0, and it doesn't seem to be getting an update anytime soon. At least LG has been providing adequate security patches for smartphones. The latest date is May 2019 (as of this writing, June 2019). LG uses its interface, and its sorting settings are slightly different from the original Android. Fortunately, this phone does not have any outdated software, and despite the many LG tools, most of them can only be disabled instead of uninstalled. The idea of having an application recycle bin is excellent. After deleting the apps, the applications remain for 24 hours, so you can quickly reinstall them as needed.

Cameras
The camera module has not changed since power2: a 13-MP lens on the back and 5-MP lens on the front. The LG X power3 doesn't have modern features like dual cameras. However, these prices usually don't improve camera quality on affordable devices, so at least the manufacturers are honest. Images taken with the primary camera are OK, but users should not expect high dynamics in dark areas. Zooming in will show some blurry details. For example, if you zoom in on a cloud, you'll notice a robust pixelated color gradient. Photos are taken in poor light lack clarity. If you only use your smartphone camera to take snapshots, then you should be happy with the images that can be made in bright light. You can use the primary camera to record videos at 1080p. The quality is excellent; the lights adjust quickly, but they are still dim. As long as you don't zoom in too much, the image from the front camera is excellent. Otherwise, you will soon see a noticeable blur in some areas.
