The UAE will soon introduce two new airlines flying into the sky. Last week, it was announced that Air Arabia in Sharjah and the Etihad Aviation Group, which is in Abu Dhabi, had formed a synergy to launch a new low-cost airline outside Abu Dhabi airport. The new airline, called Abu Dhabi Airways, will be the fifth airline to operate from the Emirates after Emirates, Etihad Airways, Dubai Airlines, and Arab Airlines, serving 9.5 million people. The new airline will target the low-cost travel market segment of the Middle East and complement Etihad Airways, said in a press release last week.
