The Coffs Harbour Education Campus is a unique partnership between Southern Cross University, North Coast TAFE, and the NSW Department of Education and Training (Coffs Harbour Senior College). The partnership aims for excellence in education and training, exceptional student opportunities, and sustainable regional development. Southern Cross University, North Coast TAFE and Department of Education and Training working together to enhance education and training outcomes and opportunities for students and to benefit the community it serves.
This outstanding facility enables each of the partners to offer programs of excellence to meet the needs of students of the region and beyond, including international students. The partnership arrangement on the Campus provides opportunities for students to move easily between education levels.
The Coffs Harbour Technology Park aims to provide an environment which captures the business synergies resulting from the collocation of Information and Communication (ICT) based industry, technology business incubation facilities and higher education and vocational training institutions. There are no physical boundaries between sectors on the Campus; all facilities and services are shared, while each partner is responsible for its own academic programs, thus ensuring the integrity and quality of programs. The partnership arrangement on the Campus provides opportunities for students to move easily between educational levels and also allows for the development of joint programs which combine strong practical skills development with high academic standards.
At the Coffs Harbour Education Campus all facilities and services are shared by Campus members while each partner is responsible for its own academic programs. The partnership arrangement on this Campus provides opportunities for students to study at the highest levels and at the same time provides opportunity for students to move easily between the Senior College, TAFE NSW - North Coast Institute, SCU College (English Language programs) and Southern Cross University.
TAFE students have the opportunity to study from Certificate to Diploma level. Areas of study include Hospitality, Information Technology, Welfare, Child Studies, Hairdressing, Business, Primary Industries, Retail and Management, the Tertiary Preparation Program, Aboriginal Studies, Engineering, Real Estate, Furniture Design and Fine Arts. Many of these programs may result in advanced standing being granted at Southern Cross University and other universities.
