HKSYU Mission:

• Preserve and disseminate traditional Chinese culture.
• Enable students to cultivate a whole, balanced personality including moral character and to realize their full potential as individuals, as scholars and as good citizens.
• Provide rigorous intellectual training to enable students to become independent critical thinkers.
• Combine academic theory with the acquisition of professional and practical skills to produce graduates who can immediately be of service to meet the needs of the community.

HKSYU has three faculties, 11 departments and a Graduate School which together, offer a wide variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and joint-university programmes. Students can select their degree according to their interests and needs.The Three facilities are;

Apart from offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, HKSYU also makes tremendous effort in research. There are 13 research centres at the University which specialize in areas from economics, psychology, communications, contemporary society, neuroscience, evidence-based practice, sustainable real estate, to business and social development. The University maintains close contact with research centres locally and abroad to facilitate academic exchange. It has also frequently published research reports in the past six years which have contributed to academia.
