Cork University Foundation (CUF) is a registered charity, No. 11831, through which funds raised by the activities of the Development & Alumni Office at UCC are donated to the university.
CUF is an "approved body" authorised by the Irish Revenue Commissioners for the purposes of tax relief under Section 848A and Schedule 26A of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997 (as inserted by Section 45 of the Finance Act 2001).
UCC has an ancient heritage with a modern focus. Our own Professor Michael Kelly excavated the world’s oldest astronomically aligned structure at Newgrange. Professor George Boole, wrote his “Laws of Thought” here, providing the basis for modern-day computer science.
