Keeping in view its key role, the... university has been going through many innovative reforms to improve the quality of education. In the Fall 2016 semester, the university has conducted the first-ever academic audit of all the departments and all courses taught in the university, and later on celebrated the first week of the Spring 2017 semester, as“Orientation Week for Faculty members”. The university has also initiated a campaign to improve the quality of instructions and has declared 2017 as the Year of Academics (YOA 2017).
For research, innovation and commercialization the university has planned and approved four interdisciplinary Research Centers i.e., Center for Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Center for Biomedical and Health sciences, Center for Humanities and social sciences, and Center for Pharmaceutical Technologies.These centers will provide conducive-research environment and will offer MPhil and PhD degrees in various disciplines. With the establishment of these centers, and commitment of our faculty, students and staff; Abbottabad University will very soon join the leading research universities of the country and world.
For the awareness and mobilization of the community, the university has initiated a “Green and Clean Abbottabad Campaign” and has also organized conferences, workshops and symposia on different topics of importance.
