Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) is the foremost management school of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and its recognition has been extending beyond the province. IMSciences is recognized by the government as a seat of excellence, and to facilitate its further expansion and excellence in Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Health, and all allied disciplines, a Board of Gover...nors was instituted as a policy making body.
It has been ranked as the 4th best business school of Pakistan by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in its ranking of public and private universities/institutes. This ranking also makes it the best business school of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The ranking was based on the implementation status of quality assurance, teaching excellence, and research work at the universities/institutes. IMSciences is the among few business schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which has been accredited in “W” category for its BBA and MBA programs by the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC).
As a public sector Institute, it is markedly different from others because it is fully autonomous and self governing. This enables it to respond quickly to all new developments in the world of academia and meet the requirements of employers. IMSciences operates with a view to foster growth in student’s know how and professional skills and enables them to remain competitive in a tight labor market. It has been successful in achieving this specific objective, and over time it has expanded its functions. Today IMSciences offers degree programs in business administration, management, information technology, and public health. Our Business and Economic Review Journal also stands approved by the Higher Education Commission and is published bi annually. As an institute owned by the Government of KPK, we maximize our financial resources to ensure that those who qualify on open merit, but need finances for their studies, do get full or partial funding for their studies. We operate about 46 need and merit based scholarship programmes, reaching out to 51% of our students.
This year we have further improved our infrastructural facilities and have added 5 new buildings to our existing facilities. These include; parking facilities, a student-teacher center, a new hostel, and auditorium and research center, and a full fledged gymnasium. These additional facilities will not only help us in further improving our academic programmes but they will also promote healthy extracurricular activities to strengthen your over all development towards a socially responsible and productive global citizen.
