Since its inception in 2000 ,Iqra University Peshawar ,(now Iqra national University) has been gradually diversifying its degree programs based on rapid changes in the fields of management, engineering and computer science which are compatible with local as well as international requirements. Each new discipline is evaluated with respect to the job market and foreseeable future. Along with the...se disciplines, INU is the only university in KPK ventured in to a unique idea of Fashion designing in KPK. With the help of foreign qualified faculty the department of Fashion & Design proved to be a great success. Also, we have helped and helping the government institutions in training their employees in management, and computer skills.
In recognition to the Iqra’s distinctive efforts in providing quality education the Higher Education Commission Pakistan elevated the status of the Iqra University Peshawar Campus into a Government Chartered and HEC Recognized Independent University, now called “Iqra National University (INU)”. The faculty of INU is composed of highly dedicated, disciplined and qualified instructors mostly trained in USA, UK, Australia, China and Pakistan having Ph.D, and MS degrees. As the educational environment counts a lot, INU has well-furnished library, tennis courts and swimming pool for INU students. INU doesn’t stop here; we have a keen eye on the fast changing international educational trends which gave us an edge over other private universities. We have no hesitation to claim that we are the trend setter in the private sector universities.

Although a newly chartered university, INU has come a long way in terms of providing quality education, conducive learning environment, well equipped and up to date labs, well stocked library and sports facilities like no other university in the private sector of KPK.INU stands as the only university that holds home to over three thousand students enrolled currently, the largest number of students enrolled in any private university in the province.
INU has been very active in promoting and hosting conferences, guest lectures, seminars and various workshops for better understanding and further learning of students beyond the classroom. A lot of stress is placed on Research and Development and the staff frequently publishes new research papers.
