Over the past sixty years, the University has become one of the largest multidisciplinary educational and scientific complex in the Russian Far East, providing training, professional retraining and advanced training of specialists on 58 educational programs for bachelors, masters and graduates, as well as implementing postgraduate education on 29 scientific specializations at the graduates and ...5 specialties on the doctoral programs. Today KnASTU has eleven faculties, three institutes, a branch in Vanino; the university has Lyceum. Among the teaching staff there are honored workers of higher school, science and technology, physical culture and sports. About twenty teachers are corresponding members and academicians of Russian and International branch academies, more than 100 were awarded the title «Honorary worker of higher professional education».
KnASTU tends to comply with best international standards of education, it is actively preparing to implement in its work the basic principles of the Bologna Declaration (actively implements the system of credit units, diversifies of educational trajectories), its achievements in the field of mechanical engineering and materials science are awarded by the Government of the Russian Federation as one of the best in the country. The contacts for the students exchange and professional experience with universities of China, South Korea, Canada, USA, Germany are established. Today, the University has certificate of quality management system on conformity to requirements of standard GOST RISO 9001. All this allows concluding that today KnASTU is not only an integral part of the city and talent foundry of its specialists, but it is genuine intellectual center, that has the importance not only for the city but also for Khabarovsk Region.
Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University is one of the leading universities of the Far East, known not only in our country but also abroad. Today the university implemented all levels of higher education: Bachelor program, Specialist program, Master program, Graduate program and Postgraduate program. The university has one of the largest networks of dissertation council for the protection of master"s and doctoral theses.
