The Psychological Advice Centre of the University of Lucerne, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) and the University of Teacher Education (PHLU) offers students, lecturers and employees support, advice and assistance in specific stress situations and with problems connected with university study or everyday professional life. In the first instance the focus of the advice lies with the students and their personal issues regarding their studies. If required lecturers and employees can also access the advice where it involves a matter connected with the supervision and support of students or difficulties in a professional context.
The Faculty of Law at the University of Lucerne has been offering the primius scholarship programme since the fall semester of 2011. This programme, run alongside studies, supports particularly able and ambitious students and doctoral candidates.It ensures that the needs of these students and doctoral candidates, as well as of society and the labour market, are met in a targeted fashion.
