Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU) was established in 2015 as a State university in Alanya. ALKU aims to provide qualified higher education in an international learning environment. With its eight faculties (Business, Engineering, Medicine, Education, Tourism, Sport Sciences, Health Sciences, Dentistry), three graduate schools (Sciences, Social Sciences, Health Sciences) and five voca...tional schools, the university offers variety of associate degree, undergraduate and graduate programs.
To be a world recognized university that actively takes part in development of the socio-economic structure of the region and the country by making contributions to create knowledge, technology and service in tourism, health, agriculture and service industries .
Adapting universal values, centering a management philosophy aimed at creating good for humanity, participating into the endeavors of better education, research and social-cultural activities, trying to solve problems by using its intellectual and scientific capacity, focusing primarily on educating qualified individuals, giving priority to the region as well as country needs, as a university pioneering and leading to provide sustainable development and solutions to problems in order to improve the welfare and peace in the society.
Based in a paradise-like holiday region, ALKU attaches much importance to the social and cultural life of its students. Some of the social and cultural activities include the Spring Festival, student clubs, environmental and technical trips, training seminars, conferences, concerts, exhibitions, job fairs, entrepreneurship contests, sport activities, etc.
Accommodation opportunities for students include State dormitories, student-friendly accommodation facilities and many apart-hotels. Representing international city of Alanya, ALKU gives the highest importance to an appropriate internationalization strategy. A central part of this strategy is based on our international students who come from every part of the world to study here. Currently ALKU has around 130 international students from 40 different countries and we expect a rapid increase in this number in near future. Both normal education and evening education programs are available in most of the faculties. As mentioned above two new undergraduate programs in English will start his year. In the meantime, when required all faculties can teach in English as well. Students have an optional English preparatory year in Faculty of Business. Additionally, German, Russian.
