Bozok University, whose faculties and vocational schools had previously been affiliated to Bozok University, Kayseri -Turkey, was founded on March 01, 2006 in accordance with Law Number 5467. Bozok University offered 3 faculties, 1 vocational school and 2 institutes at the academic year of 2007 – 2008.
For the year 2013, Bozok University offers 8 faculties, 3 institutes, 5 schools, 1 Re...search and Education Hospital, 7 Research Centers; where approximately 10.000 students take education at both undergraduate and graduate levels during the 2012-2013 academic year with around 600 academic staff, 450 administrative and technical staff.
Faculty of Art and Science, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Agricultural and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Theology keep going the education actively and the of the Faculty of Education take their first students. Faculty of Education has not taken the students yet. Then proposal for Faculty of Law has been presented to the Turkish Council of Higher Education.
The School of Health keeps going to educate the nurses and the School of Physical Education and Sports and School of Tourism And Hotel Management and School of Animal Production do not have student yet.The Yozgat Vocational School, Akdağmadeni Vocational School, Yerköy Justice Vocational School, Health Services of Vocational School, Boğazlıyan Vocational School continues the education activities with their students. Sorgun Vocational School will have the first students this year.
Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences and Institute of Social Sciences continues teaching but the Institute of Health Sciences does not have students yet. Bozok University Continuing Education, Practice and Research Center (BOSUYAM), Computer Sciences Practice and Research Center, Language Research and Teaching Center, Project Coordination Practice and Research Center are in service actively.
Research and Practice Hospital, active since 26.10.2010, are in service of people with 20 departments and 86 academicians and grows continuously. Bozok University heading for global education with social-sportive and educational infrastructures, young and dynamic staffs; 567 academic staff, 4078 administrative staff and about 12.000 students.
The mission of Bozok University is to provide proper education to serve the aim of reaching developed countries; to grow idealist, qualified individuals equipped with world-wide valid knowledge and skill; to product original knowledge and technology contributing to science, usable in the country and world; to serve high-standard health services; to maintain activities contribute to the economic, social, cultural and sportive development of the society with cooperation’s with institutes and NGO’s of the city.
The vision of the university is to be a leading higher education institution which leads for the country and for the world on the production of knowledge and technology and on cultural, social, artistic, sportive activities; whose graduated students are favored; which is transparency and measurability centered; which is institutionalized; which uses communication means efficiently, which has the perception of lifelong learning and lastly which has international students and staffs structure.
