The laws are intended to satisfy students’ right to know, and afford the opportunity for students to make fully informed choices regarding the institution they elect to attend.
Alaska Bible College extends a warm welcome to prospective students who meet admission qualifications and seek to strengthen their Christian walk and prepare for ministry.ABC selects students on the basis of academic ability, moral character, and a strong desire to study God’s Word. ABC does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, gender, or ethnic background.
The ABC library has approximately 30,000 volumes, including the largest theological collection in Alaska. The library also contains curriculum materials, media resources, computers for student use, a children’s library, and several reading and study areas. The library subscribes to many Christian magazines and periodicals. A selection of visual aid material is available for student ministries. ABC’s Wilderness Campus, located in Glennallen, houses an extension library located on the second floor of Joy Hall.
A “modular” class condenses an entire college semester into a single, intensive week of on-campus study.Classes meet each day of the week for the full day (morning and afternoon).Prior to arriving on campus, students read the class textbook and submit a written summary and interaction. After the week on campus, students return home and complete a final project.Students receive a grade for the class upon completion of the final project.
College credit counts towards a degree at Alaska Bible College, and can be transferred to other schools. Audit does not count towards a degree and cannot not be transferred, though students participate fully in all class activities. Audit students are not required to turn in the assignments, and do not receive a grade. Enrollment precedence is given to students taking the class for college credit.
Housing and meals are optional, and students are free to make their own arrangements if desired. Grocery stores and affordable dining are available within walking distance. Housing is in the form of a shared room in ABC’s dorm, 4 blocks from the classroom building. Lunches are available for through ABC as part of the housing package, or for separate purchase. A full kitchen is provided in the dorm for breakfast and dinner preparations.

In the context of a caring community, our students can expect to find a rich blend of social outlets & service opportunities designed to foster healthy, life-long relationships.

Strategically located in the heart of Palmer, our campus and dorms enable you to readily access incredible year-round opportunities. Within walking distance are community bike paths, coffee shops, and grocery stores.
Alaska is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, and the Palmer area hosts world-class recreational adventures. Fall activities may include fishing, hunting, hiking, and canoeing. In the winter months, try snowboarding, skating or snowshoeing. Community events include the Iditarod, the Alaska State Fair, concerts, craft fairs, high school sports, and much more.
Alaska Bible College seeks to enrich and deepen the spiritual life of its students with chapel services, dorm devotions, prayer partners, and by encouraging personal Bible reading and prayer. Students are also expected to regularly attend services at a local church. There are a number of evangelical churches in the area that provide opportunities for worship and service.Special weeks of spiritual life focus are scheduled each semester, featuring a guest speaker at daily chapel services and a school-wide day of prayer.
