The American Sign Language Department offers a major in ASL–English Interpretation, a major in Deaf Studies and a minor in ASL Studies. Our curriculum emphasizes work with the Deaf population as a linguistic and cultural minority. Our ASL–English Interpretation program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Interpreter Education.As a graduate of our department, you’ll not only become aware of and sensitive to issues concerning Deafness; you"ll have the potential to become a cultural and linguistic mediator working across diverse communities.

The English and Creative Writing Department offers process-oriented, technologically supported, cross-disciplinary opportunities in literature, writing, and oral communication to help you cultivate your unique voice while preparing you to be a more thoughtful, conscientious citizen. Our goal in AES is to bring like minded people who share many different passions for audio and build a strong community among them. We have events scheduled for each semester. We will be taking trips to various studios in Chicago, sharing mixing ideas, learning new technology, and much more. We want everyone in this.A physician or nurse practitioner is available to provide outpatient clinical evaluation, treatment of minor illnesses, injuries, and also, evaluation and triage/referral for more serious illnesses or injuries. The Health Center is also offers illness prevention measures, such as immunizations and flu vaccines.
