Since the initiation of the first graduate program in 1927, the University has grown to offer more than 75 graduate programs in the University’s colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Technology, and Health and Human Services. In addition to masters, specialist, and doctoral degrees, the University offers graduate certificate programs in concentrated areas of study, and professional development courses designed to fulfill continuing education requirements.
The Office of Sponsored Programs, housed within the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, assists faculty and students in funding their research from sources such as the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.The Center for Global Engagement, also housed within the College, offers quality graduate and undergraduate education for international students and study abroad programs.Indiana State University is designated a Doctoral/Research University. The mission of the Indiana State University Student Counseling Center is to provide ISU students with timely and effective mental health services that allow them to improve and maintain their mental well-being and therefore to meet their educational, personal, emotional, and psychological goals. We also provide outreach and consultation services that help create supportive learning and living environments, while at the same time addressing students" developmental needs to help them become effective and productive citizens.
