UW-La Crosse"s institutional priorities are guided by the UWL Select Mission, Vision, and Values statements, adopted by the UWL Joint Planning & Budget Committee in March 2015. The mission of the Student Life Office (SLO) is to enrich and support the UWL community through programmatic opportunities, as well as individual interventions.

International Education & Engagement (IEE) is a campus and community resource focused on supporting student success by facilitating global experiences for students, faculty, staff, and the community. We strive to support and engage cross cultural understanding through programming, teaching, learning, research, partnerships, and service opportunities.Every semester International Education & Engagement allocates money to students who are greatly involved in educating others about their home country/culture or who wish to study abroad while maintaining a high GPA. The money for these scholarships comes from the Student Association and the UW System Fund. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students who pay out-of-state tuition (for international students) or to encourage international awareness (for domestic students).
The Department of Art at UWL provides the traditional and non-traditional art studio and theory art history courses.Our large studio areas are furnished with a mix of new and traditional equipment for ceramics, metals, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.A drawing studio, design studio and Macintosh computer lab complete the laboratory areas.Art students come principally from states in the upper Midwest but also come from different parts of the United States and international countries from around the world.
