Northpoint (formerly Zion Bible College) is a Bible College in New England, and we exist for one reason: to teach and train students in excellent pentecostal ministry. We were founded in 1924 as a faith school, and our history is rich with stories of the miraculous hand of God.
At Northpoint, we offer a variety of programs and degrees. For undergrads, we offer a BA in Bible and Theology, ...along with a series of practical secondary majors. We also offer a one-year certificate and an Associate of Arts degree in Bible and Theology. For graduates, we offer a MA in Practical Theology.
Our One-Year Certificate program is primarily for those who desire personal enrichment in Bible, Theology, and Christian Service. The curriculum is arranged to expand an individual’s knowledge of the Bible, deepen his or her theological framework, and broaden his or her practical skills for the local church.
The purpose of the Associate in Arts degree program is to provide the student with a basic foundation in the humanities and Bible and Theology, as well as ministry training, thus preparing the student to serve as a lay or licensed certified minister.
The graduate program is devoted to the centrality of Scripture, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and a Pentecostal viewpoint in theology, ministry, and life. Pastoral Leadership, Church Planting & Revitalization, Preaching, and Spiritual Formation are key aspects of the program. Positive and encouraging interaction among peers and mentors creates an environment conducive to transformation, thus enabling the leaders to engage in effective Pentecostal ministry.
One of the highlights of life at Northpoint is the Chapel Service. From Monday through Thursday, students, staff, faculty, and administration join together to seek God, to praise the Lord Jesus Christ, and to experience the ever-present power of the Holy Spirit. Christian leaders from various areas of the world, plus our president, and the faculty, participate in these services by bringing forth the Word of God in such a way as to challenge and encourage our students to become the leaders of tomorrow. The variety of ministries presented provides our students with a broad exposure to the heartbeat of ministry taking place around the world. During these special times, the Holy Spirit moves upon students in a gentle, yet most powerful way, molding lives and preparing them for the ministry and for the challenges of the Kingdom. The powerful environment promotes an atmosphere of holiness, reverence, and awe. During Senior Chapels, senior students are given the opportunity to minister the Word.
We encourage our students to become involved in practical ministry teams that are available to minister at churches, camps, rallies, youth groups, and evangelistic outreaches through worship, special music, and drama throughout the school year and summer months. This enables them to acquire a form of unique ministry experience that they can carry with them out into their careers.

The current campus of Northpoint Bible College, located in the Bradford area of Haverhill, Massachusetts, was originally a private, non-profit, co-educational high school, opened in 1803. In 1836, it became Bradford College, a school for young women. In 1932, the College became established as a junior college. In 1971 Bradford became a four-year, co-educational, liberal arts college. After nearly 200 years, Bradford College closed in 2000, and in 2008 the campus was purchased for Northpoint Bible College, providing Northpoint with ample educational, administrative and residential space. The campus is comprised of nine buildings spread over a twenty-five acre property, totaling approximately 297,000 square feet.
In 1924 Northpoint Bible College (Formerly Zion Bible College) was founded by Rev. Christine Gibson for the purpose of preparing men and women for Pentecostal ministry. The school started in East Providence, Rhode Island, and 1985 relocated to Barrington, Rhode Island. In 2008, the college was miraculously blessed with its current beautiful and historic 18 acre residential campus, located in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
