Students must first be admitted to the University of Evansville before any type of financial aid can be offered or processed. Merit-based scholarships are awarded only at the time of acceptance based upon the information gathered from the University of Evansville Application for Admission and Scholarship. Awards are renewable for up to three years as long as the student continues to meet renewal criteria. The types of scholarships offered, standards for selection, amounts, and renewal criteria may change with each new academic year.
University of Evansville merit-based scholarships are not available for students pursuing a second bachelor’s degree, enrolling under the Education Teaching Articulation Agreement, or enrolling in programs administered by the Center for Adult Education, RN to BSN, or Transition to Teaching.

The University of Evansville Office of Financial Aid provides personalized financial aid services to our students and their families. We encourage all students to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) so that we can determine all available sources of financial aid for which they are eligible. We are here to help families file the FAFSA, understand the aid that has been awarded, and provide guidance through the financial aid process. Assisting our students and their families is our highest priority.
100% of our domestic freshman students receive merit-based scholarships. In addition to these scholarships, students may qualify for grants, loans, and work-study. Our office provides notification to students of financial aid eligibility and detailed information regarding the types of aid offered.
