Professional advisers work with students in five Academic and Career Advising Centers (ACAC) – one in each of the five colleges.
New students are assigned to a professional adviser in the college ACAC of their intended major from their first orientation session until they have completed three semesters. Undecided students work with professional advisers in the University College ACAC until they are ready to declare. Students then work closely with faculty in their major while still having access to professional advisers and many opportunities for career development, resume and cover letter review, and job search strategies.
