WOU offers several bachelor’s (four-year) degrees – bachelor of science, bachelor of arts, bachelor of music and bachelor of fine arts – as well as certificates, advanced baccalaureates, master’s degrees and pre-professional tracks.
The Honors Program at Western Oregon University is designed to nourish intellectual abilities and cultivate interest in new subjects and activities. The program is comprised of dedicated, friendly, and highly motivated students who pursue a variety of majors and extracurricular activities, ranging from creative arts to community service and study abroad. It is the goal of the Honors Program to help its students achieve their highest aspirations. Toward this end, we seek to foster a way of life in which faculty and students understand that inquiry and learning happen everyday, and in a shared and continuous mode.
Every term, WOU has exciting sports teams competing on the field, court or track. Students join together to cheer the Wolves to victory in more than a dozen sports, and our student-athletes are a valuable part of campus. Student voices are heard on WOU’s campus! We have three student media outlets — a newspaper, a radio station and a literary journal — that provide a stage for expression in many forms. Want to be a reporter, a DJ or a published poet? WOU is the place!

The brand new Student Health and Wellness Center provides a welcoming place for students to receive health and counseling services for a friendly, professional staff. Western has an entire department dedicated to ensuring students with disabilities have access to campus, classes and activities. It provides interventions, programs and services to encourage personal growth, support success and increase effective communication.
The office of Multicultural Student Services & Programs is committed to the recruitment, retention and graduation of underrepresented & underserved populations by providing educational opportunities and outstanding programming for ethnically and culturally diverse students. MSSP strives to enrich the undergraduate experience and foster a supportive environment for students of color to live, learn and grow as active members of the Western Oregon University community and as individuals.
Service Learning and Career Development provides access to transformative experiences, education and counseling that advance student career development and benefit society. The Career Mentoring Program (CMP) connects current students with alumni mentors to help them prepare for life after WOU by developing career readiness through exploration, skill building and networking.
