Our distinctive liberal arts education combines rigorous academic study with real-world experience. Nearly every stu...dent (96 percent) will complete at least one internship or other experiential learning project before they graduate.

Since 2000, more than 220 Wheaton students have won prestigious international scholarships, such as the Rhodes, Marshall and Fulbright awards. For eight consecutive years, the college has ranked among the top 10 liberal arts colleges in the nation in preparing Fulbright Scholars.
Our residential campus buzzes with activity, too. We host visiting artists, musicians, writers, scholars and public intellectuals each semester, in addition to events featuring our students and faculty. In addition, we field 21 NCAA athletic teams, host more than 100 student-run clubs and offer a full intramural sports program.

With more than 600 courses, 47 majors and 59 minors you will find plenty of opportunities to discover how the arts and sciences, humanities and social sciences complement each other. There are so many possibilities that it is hard to limit yourself to one; over 20% of Wheaton students are double majors.
We believe education is an active pursuit and our faculty share their experiences and expertise at the intersection of theory and practice. The college has more than 130 full-time faculty members and roughly 90 percent hold Ph.D.s or the top degree in their field of expertise. They teach nearly 600 courses leading to over 100 majors and minors and truly reflect the breadth of our academic experience.
