How To Recharge Salik Online

There are many types of existing technology and device that actually only exists in UAE rather than other countries in the world, in which one of the taxpaying technology is Salik. Salik is basically a toll gate system but it is fully automatic and doesn’t require you to stop your car and actually make a tool payment like people do in most of the countries in the world but instead it automatically deduct money this money through Salik card.

How Salik works?

Every car in UAE has a Salik card and it is pasted like a small yellow patch on the windshield. On that Salik card, every customer has its own unique id number just RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) concept.

Every time any Salik registered car cross the toll gates, Scanners just scanned that unique number, the amount deducts automatically from that particular Salik account. The basic Salik toll tax is 5 Dirhams and it will be deducted every time you pass the toll gate.

Purpose of Salik:

The purpose of salik is to get rid of manual procesure and use automatic system to get the toll tax from the roads. Salik direct help to government to create better roads and highways for the city. These Salik toll gates are deployed as an attempt to reduce traffic jams along some of the congestion roads in UAE.

  • Al Mamzar Tollgate
  • AL Garhoud Toll Gate
  • Al Barsha Toll Gate
  • Al Safa Toll Gate
  • Airport Tunnel Toll Gate

How to recharge Salik online:

There are two ways to recharge Salik, one through an online browser and two through an online mobile application. Now I will tell you, how will you recharge Salik from both ways.

1-  Recharge through online browser:

Step 1: Go to the official Salik website, https://www.salik.gov.ae/en.

Step 2: enter username and password of your account and click Login, if you don’t have a Salik account then click on “create on account”, when you click on that, just enter your Full name, Address, Salik card number, Email and password and click on sign up.

Step 3: once you registered yourself, then scratch the Salik recharge card and enter the 12-digit hidden number and press enter.

Now your Salik account is recharged.

2.    Recharge through online application:

Step 1: Launch Play store or any app store in your mobile and type “ Salik smart” in the search bar and press search.

Step 2: Download the SalikSmart application and open it.

Step 3: Your name is already written on the username block, just enter password of your account and press Login, if you don’t have a Salik account then press on “New online user”, when you press on that button, just type your Full name, Address, Salik account number, mobile number, and password and press sign up.

Step 4: After successfully signing up, just press on “Recharge Now” and then enter the amount you want to recharge and it will be deducted from your registered account.

3- By using banks:

Salik can be recharged by using different banks in UAE by using their mobile banking service, IVR service, using SMS, ATM, etc.
Salik amount is deducted from the toll gate, which directly deducts the amount from your account by crossing from the toll gate.
