Welcome to VIVES University College. This new college is the result of the cooperation between KATHO, with campuses in Kortrijk, Roeselare, Tielt, Torhout and KHBO, with campuses in Brugge and Oostende. At this moment, mergers in the field of higher education are a common trend in Flanders. With approximately 13,000 students, VIVES is the biggest university college in Flanders.
VIVES Univ...ersity College, with its modern and competence-based higher education, its innovative practical research, and its services provided to society, offers an adequate response to today’s and tomorrow’s social challenges. VIVES is an appreciative, friendly, and people-oriented university college which concentrates on professionally oriented Bachelor Degrees and Associate Degrees. In doing so the university college ensures that its students contribute to the globalised world both as human beings and as professionals.

You are very welcome to join us and study with us, here in West-Flanders, at VIVES University College. Our lively and student-friendly University College offers a wide range of bachelor programmes which leads to a Bachelor Degree. As the courses prepare students for specific professions, they are practice oriented and also include periods of practical training. In 2002 we joined the KULeuven Association. The departments are located in six historical sites: Brugge, Kortrijk, Oostende, Roeselare, Tielt and Torhout.
In September 2014 VIVES University College opened a brand new student residence in Kortrijk. This building offers housing to as many as 80 Erasmus students. In addition to the rooms for Erasmus students, there is also accommodation reserved for 25 Belgian students. It will be a vibrant student community of mixed nationalities, right in the center of town.
Price for a single room is €1550/semester, price for a double room is €2220/semester (€1110 per student). Mentioned prices are for the full term, even if you arrive after the start of the rental period or if you leave before the end of the rental period. All students who make a reservation for a room have to pay a deposit of €250 and an administration fee of €50.
