College of Logistics is a private technical college of non-university type, offering – as the only college in the Czech Republic – the first two levels of tertiary education (Bc., Ing.) in a unique study programme Logistics (B3713 Logistics and N3713 Logistics).

College of Logistics is a private technical college of non-university type, offering – as the only college in the Czech Republic – the first two levels of tertiary education (Bc., Ing.) in a unique study programme Logistics (B3713 Logistics and N3713 Logistics).
The main objective of the study programme B3713 Logistics and N3713 Logistics is to train a specialist for specific professions in logistics of transport, services, tourism,aviation and information management.
Currently the only teaching language at our college is Czech, however we would like to introduce also teaching in English language in future.
Other goals of the study programme are:
  • To offer the applicants from various logistic systems areas (forwarders, providers) and other areas the possibility to gain tertiary education in the bachelor study programmes Logistics of Transport, Logistics of Services, Logistics of Tourism,and Information Management - considering the fact that there is no other similar study programme available in the Czech Republic.
  • To provide education in the basic theoretical knowledge from mathematics, physics, logistics, operations research and informatics, applicable in various parts of logistics systems (transport, transport infrastructure, private and public services). This base is supplemented by education in economic and legal disciplines in transport, management and services. The graduate has the prerequisite to apply this knowledge in solving practical problems of transportation and services provision processes.
  • To conceive the bachelor level studies so that they enable the graduates to find work in managerial posts of various logistic companies, in companies dealing with logistic systems (transportation and forwarding), in institutions providing private and public services.
  • To extend language preparation focused on cultural, political and professional written and spoken communication to enable the graduates to find employment in international companies.
  • The common nucleus in the first academic year and widening choice of professional individualizing disciplines in the following academic years enables training of a specialist equipped with professional knowledge and skills necessary for accomplished achievements in various logistic systems.
  • To involve our students in solving practical problems from the fields of transport and provision of services in both private and public sector and thereby help them develop their creative skills.

Not only for the graduates of our bachelor"s degree programmes, but also for the bachelors graduated at other institutions with ECTS standards, a successive a master"s degree study programme N3713 Logistics is offered. The length of the study is two years and the successful graduate earns a degree of certified engineer.
College of Logistics is an active participant in the Erasmus programme. The programme allows students to spend a semester abroad at a partner institution in the EU and to obtain full academic credit for doing so.
College of Logistics welcomes teachers and staff exchanges from partner institutions and wants to encourage and enable visiting professors from all over the Europe to take part at the short exchanges for giving lectures to student in the fields of Logistics, Business and Administration, Economics, International Relations and all related disciplines.
The study of Logistics of Transport specialization results from the current developments in the field "management of material transport"– logistics. It is possible to apply means of modern computer technologies including software and modern operating methods such as network analyses, multiproduct flows, vector optimization, genetic algorithms etc., in the management of material transport.
The goal of the study is to teach students utilize these modern technologies in managing transport flows both within the country and abroad, teach them to ensure the required transport reliably, which is one of the decisive terms mainly in international trade, and to ensure other accompanying services connected with transport (logistic services). Students are educated to be able to apply those means in small and medium sized companies engaged in transport of goods. They may also work in firms and institutions with higher number of transport means and in dispatch departments of manufacturing firms.The Final State Exam consists of Bachelor thesis defence and oral exam. The oral exam includes two compulsory subjects; the third subject is opted out of assigned professional subjects.
The graduate of the study programme works in travel agencies as an independent officer for negotiation with institutions. He/she is capable to meet special customer requirements, create new offers of travel agencies. During the studies he/she gains the competency to find and suggest locations attractive for tourists in the Czech Republic and incorporate them into interesting complexes. He/she is able to compile projects for new touristic utilization of regions. He/she may work for carriers engaged in passenger transport to optimise utilization of the vehicles, also for public and local administration institutions in the regional development departments. Thanks to the high level of language skills the graduate will be competent to deal with organizations abroad and to provide tour-guide services.
