The campus of EBC Hochschule is located directly on the Esplanade, tucked in between the Baseler Hof hotel and the Hofbräuhaus. Our EBC students benefit from light seminar rooms, a pleasant cafeteria and a well-organised library. The roof terrace is a particularly attractive feature which students can take advantage of on sunny days. The underground station, the Alster lake and various cafes are close by.

At our officially recognised university, our students complete an internship either in Germany or abroad after the second semester and another internship abroad after the fourth semester. The orientation towards the international market is reinforced by a semester abroad at one of the many institutions that cooperate with EBC University. Soft Skills such as cross-cultural competences and presentation techniques are also important subjects at EBC University. Because such aspects are an integral part of all EBC programs, internships and projects will not lead to a prolongation of the period of study.
EBC Students usually graduate with a Bachelor of Arts after 6 semesters. This as well as the option to complete foreign language certificates of the respective chambers of commerce enhances a smooth job entry. Graduates may also wish to complete a Master degree in Germany or abroad upon graduation. Whatever the plans – our graduates are equipped with intercultural competencies and business expertise that helps them pursue their careers with great confidence.

In addition, the Chancellor, Dean and Campus Directors ensure that the national and international networks of the university are constantly developed and expanded.
The EBC University is one of the few universities with a verified management system according to international standards. In summer 2011, the EBC University was certified as an educational establishment according to the standardDIN EN ISO 9001 and the new standard DIN ISO 29990.
The certification according to DIN ISO 29990 is especially important. As one of the first universities in the world, the EBC University implements demonstrably the educational-quality requirements laid down in ISO 29990. The standard designates a quality management for education and training which focuses on the learning process. It also guarantees that the university offers objectively recognisable quality assurance and transparency and that it has demonstrably introduced and applied quality management in the relevant areas of development, controlling and preparation of teaching tools, as well as the holding and evaluation of university degree courses.
The certification according to international standards was carried out by CERTQUA, a service organisation run jointly by the ‘Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände’, the ‘Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag DIHK’, the ‘Wuppertaler Kreis e.V. ’ and the ‘Zentralverband des Deutschen Handwerks’. Questioning of the participants and attendance of lectures were important elements in the certification procedure. The responsible auditor checked whether the prescribed processes of quality management were implemented in practice. The successful implementation of the certified management system underlines the demands that the EBC University makes on itself to keep the conditions for its students constant and on the highest possible level.
