The ISS assists companies, nationally and internationally, with their transformation projects, including assessments, consulting, professional development and management traini...ng. As a „Business School“ we regard an organization´s strategic direction and its operational implementation as two inseparable elements required to achieve the planned impact on the market. For that reason, initiatives that actively promote an organization´s transformation are an integral part of our offering. People from client organizations actively participate in analysis and consulting projects. In professional development and training programs, transfer projects – so-called ´Real Life projects (RLPs)´ - provide the link to participants´ daily practice and organizational reality and demonstrate the return on investment (ROI) of the program.
The ISS International Business School of Service Management has 5 years experience in developing and implementing academic study programs with a focus on management and developing organizations where services are – or will be become - an essential part of the business model.

The recognition of the ISS International Business School of Service Management as a University for Management and Business Development in accordance with §§ 114, 115 of the State of Hamburg´s University legislation became valid with the launch of the first program on January 11, 2008 and expired on September 30, 2014. The public recognition included the following programs accredited by FIBAA
The business of ISS as a publicly-recognized University for programs with a focus on Service management is not economically sustainable for this topic given the number of enrolled students. Therefore, at the end of the year 2013, the decision was taken to cease operations as an independent University of the State of Hamburg and not to apply for a prolongation of the public recognition.
As a result, two other accredited Master Programs have not been started within the framework of the recognition as a public University of the State of Hamburg.
The ISS intends to include these master programs and the MBA Service Management into the programs of another university. To this end, talks have been started.
Service First – Leveraging service as a success factor for organizations is the philosophy of ISS. We assist our customers in orienting their strategies towards their future markets and we provide targeted organizational and personal development programs.
At the ISS, we define service as a provider/customer interaction which creates value for all the parties involved.
The ISS International Business School of Service Management, Hamburg, offers consulting and professional qualification services for organizations, their managers and employees based on academic research and practical feasibility. The objective is the successful implementation of future-oriented services in an international environment.
With services, either as a product-related or stand-alone version, different perspectives have to be combined in a solution which offers real added value for all the partners involved: Service provider and customer, experience and innovation, people and systems, results and experience.
With its programs, the ISS strengthens the service orientation of organizations and supports the development of sustainable partnerships with customers. In addition, it assists in developing the competences required for the development, marketing and realization of future-oriented customer solutions - for a business support that generates growing customer delight and loyalty.
Markets are changing, new technologies produce innovations, economic, legal or political conditions are shifting, new business owners define new targets and cultures – there are many reasons why change is required.
As resources are limited, clear priorities have to be set – not everything which needs to be adapted or modified can be changed at the same time and interdependencies have to be considered as well.
Hence the question: Where to start?
Which changes and actions have the highest impact on market acceptance and customer loyalty on the one hand and which ones help, on the other hand, to focus resources effectively, to increase efficiency and to boost profitability?
The ISS offers specific approaches to analyze an organization´s external and internal environments in order to identify the most powerful levers for change. Then, the ISS cooperates with you to develop the required strategies, concepts and implementation measures, whose execution will also be monitored. A traffic light system will show you where corrective action is required.
Still, not all topics are „our topics“ - our approaches do not always work. Therefore, a clear ´No´ in the beginning is more honest and better – the recommendation to look for alternative solutions leads to customer retention and loyalty as well. However, we will first discuss and evaluate whether we can jointly develop a sustainable solution.
We are looking forward to this type of exchange with you and we will make the required time available. Do you want to start and inform us about your challenges?
