In 2011 the Leibniz-FH (University of Applied Sciences) emerged from the Leibniz Academy, College of Cooperative Education . Consequently our institution has been in existence since the year 1920. Nowadays the Leibniz-FH offers integrated degree courses as well as part-time Bachelor or Masters degree courses in Business and Business Informatics.
The Leibniz-FH is a young, vibrant, teachin...g and learning university. The Leibniz-FH works continuously on the development of teaching and research, to ensure sustainable and attractive study courses. The Leibniz-FH places social competence as well as individual professional development at the heart of its activities.
Therefore as part of the LFH’s philosophy, consideration is given to the compatibility of family and work or study, to gender issues and to the personal circumstances of all members of the university’s community.
The Leibniz-FH uses regional and national university cooperations and business networks for critical reflection and further enhancement of its teaching and research spectrum.
The project-oriented cooperation with foreign universities and organizations will be intensified to further internationalize the study courses and to promote intercultural competence.

The scopes of activities at the Leibniz- FH are characterized by two main principles; sustainability and high quality standards. This is possible through quick decision-making processes, transparent structures, a service-oriented management, modern facilities, an effective evaluation system and distinguished teaching and research frameworks.
The courses offered by the Leibniz FH include three integrated Bachelor"s degrees in Business Administration (BWL), Business Informatics and Health Management. The distinguishing features of the integrated degree courses at the Expo Plaza include small groups with a maximum of 35 students, direct one-to-one access to professors, and a high exchange of theory and practice through autonomus student-led projects.
These core competencies were also incorporated into non-integrated degree courses and in the Autumn of 2011 a six semester full-time Bachelor of Arts degree course in Business Administration was launched .This full-time course is aimed at school leavers who wish to study with a strong focus on practical application without a specified business partner.
In 2012 a new course explicitly aimed at working professionals was created at the Leibniz University of Applied Sciences. Two Bachelor"s degrees in Business Administration and Business Informatics as well as a Masters degree in Integrated Business Management were set up part-time, with content organizationally aligned to specific professional requirements. The courses are offered in the evening or as a block at weekends.
With a combination of successfully established integrated degree courses and newly offered courses at our location in Hannover, the number of students attending are expected to continue increasing. Besides teaching, the LFH is developing application-oriented research as well as continuing cooperations with international instiutions. Students and companies will equally benefit from these future developments.
The Leibniz-University of Applied Sciences at the Expo Plaza is strongly embedded in the regional economy and is held in high regard by companies for its strong practical relevance of training offered. On this basis, the teaching, as well as research, is systematically and continuously developed. This means graduates gain a noticeable advantage in the transition from school to work as well as in their future professional development.
