The Arunachal University of Studies has been established by Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh through an Act of State Legislator. The University is duly recognized by UGC u/s 2(f) and is empowered to award degrees specified u/s 22 of UGC Act 1956. The University is the member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. The certifications issued by the University are globally accepted.<...p>The University is located at the border of Assam & Arunachal Pradesh which is an important gateway to several prominent districts of Assam and Eastern Arunachal Pradesh. The university caters to the higher education needs of students of the entire Brahmputra belt which includes the prominent towns and districts like Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Pasighat, Longding, Tirap, Changlang, Lohit, Anjaw, Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley, Siang,Upper Siang, Sibsagar, Jorhat, Moran, Golaghat, Dumdooma, Kakopathar, Digboi, Dulijan, Margherita, Naharkatia, Namrup, Dhemaji and North Lakhimpur.
