Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) has been conceived by Shri Charotar Moti Sattavis Patidar Kelavani Mandal - a non-profit premier education trust of India having a social lineage of more than 118 years. CHARUSAT has been established by promulgation of Gujarat Private University Act, 2009. It is empowered to confer degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act, 1956.
Presentl...y, CHARUSAT offers 64 programs from UG to Ph D under the tutelage of 8 Institutes and 6 Faculties. They are in the allied disciplines of Technology & Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Applications, Management Studies, Applied Sciences, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and other Paramedical Sciences.
All education programs are semester based and are delivered in English Medium. Credit and Grading Systems are followed for Teaching, Learning and Evaluation. Curriculum and Pedagogy at CHARUSAT correspond with societal needs. CHARUSAT strives to prepare students for global assignments. It aims to make its students Job Creators and not Job Seekers. Efforts are also made for education amelioration in rural schools through a Rural Education Development Program. There also exists a Human Resource Development Centre to hone competencies of Faculty and Staff.
With a thrust on socially relevant Research and Development, CHARUSAT strives to transform the society through creation, augmentation, dissemination and perpetuation of knowledge. For the purpose, a Research and Development Centre has also been established on the Campus. Uniquely, CHARUSAT has also established a Space Technology Centre to initiate and foster research in Space Technology.
Further, CHARUSAT fosters an aspiration of achieving the academic excellence of a World Class University. It strives, initially, to be in the league of Top 20 Universities at National Level. CHARUSAT wishes to achieve it through hybrid culture: a culture that represents the serenity of the oldest places of learning like Takshashila and Nalanda and the scholarship of the centres like Harvard and Stanford.
In order to inculcate right values in the students, Charotar University of Science and Technology - CHARUSAT has been established as a University fostering High Moral and Ethical Values. Honesty, Integrity, and Transparency have been the benchmarks of CHARUSAT in both word and action.

Hence, Curricula, at CHARUSAT, have been designed to help the students use their capabilities to the fullest and become creative, constructive and productive members of the society. Further, programs at CHARUSAT enable the students not only to gain an understanding but also to develop insights in altered research areas. Teachers also dedicate their efforts to construct and facilitate opportunities where the students can practice and experience creativity. Moving a step ahead towards the purpose of education, CHARUSAT aims to make its students Job Creators and not Job Seekers.
Quite uniquely, CHARUSAT offers curricula – corresponding with the industry needs and practices, connected to professions addressing contemporary issues, developed on commitments to interdisciplinary inquiry, research endeavors, practical applications, and social responsibility. Academic System at CHARUSAT ensures that values such as the pursuit of excellence in teaching are as important as scholarship and research. Hence, Industrial Visits, Study Tours, Interactive IT enabled Teaching Practices, Project / Case / Task Based Learning, Blended Learning, and Expert Lectures form an integral part of pedagogy at CHARUSAT. CHARUSAT also strives to prepare students for diverse and interdependent global competitive world and assignments.
