Eternal university is established under the Himachal Pradesh Private University (Establishment & Regulation) Act 2006 & Himachal Pradesh Government Act.no. 3 of 2009, with the right to confer degree as per the UGC public notice on private Universities dated April 18, 2011.
The great visionary of 20th century had a vision that modern scientific education alone will not serve the humanity w...ell, until and unless it is amalgamated with Braham Vidya (Spiritual Education). The graduates of this unique education system will not only be outstanding in academics, but also will have high moral values (i.e. they will have love for humanity, compassion for the weak and the underdog, and sense of selfless service for the community). These graduates will work towards establishing permanent peace in the world. They will act as Ambassadors of Peace wherever they live, work and raise their families.

Quality education and research are crucial for ensuring social, economic and health security and over all development of India. Concerted efforts have been made to identify, support and promote basic and applied research to generate knowledge and technology in the strategic and emerging thrust areas and research gaps of India in general and Himachal Pradesh in particular by highly competent and dedicated faculty through multi-disciplinary teams across its six constituent colleges, international collaboration and institute- industry linkages. In addition to B. Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture, B. Tech. (Food Technology and Electronics and Electrical Engineering) and M. Tech. (Renewable Energy) have been introduced from the 2015-16 academic year. Research on bio-prospecting of medicinal plants and functional foods has been strengthened by establishing state of the art laboratory infrastructure through institutional, State and Central Government assistance.
The comprehensive course curriculums are continuously updated with major emphasis on vocational, and add on course besides on the campus training and certification, industrial visits, motivation and development of communication skills for their suitable industrial placement in India and abroad.
