The Haryana Viswakarma Skill Universty is a State university established under Act 25 of 2016. The objective to establish this skill University is to facilitate and promote skill, entrepreneurship development, skill based education and research in the emerging areas of manufacturing, information technology, textile, design, logistics and transportation, automation, agriculture, maintenance, etc.... and to raise skill level in various fields related to these areas.

Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University (HVSU), the first vocational university in India has pioneered the movement to reshape vocational education with its industry-integrated dual-education programmes. It has placed Haryana as the frontrunner with respect to innovation and foresight for transforming the skill landscape both in the State and the Country. With the industry-integrated vocational education model, HVSU is driving industry participation as a determining factor in transforming vocational education, thus enabling the youth to keep pace with the changing scenario.
India’ with globally competitive skills and competencies, the Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University (HVSU) has taken a giant leap towards catalysing the TVET system to provide real-time job experience and industry driven training curriculum. This innovative model will enable the youth with the ability to compete in the local and global job market and help India in establishing itself as the “Skill Capital” of the world.
This University will focus on meeting the skill demands of the State in the current and emerging areas of various sectors such as manufacturing, textile, automobile, IT, healthcare, construction, banking & finance, marketing, hospitality, agriculture, etc. Experiential learning will be enabled through flexible entry & exit, credit accumulation & transferability and blended learning methodologies of simulation & gamification. Focus on ‘Entrepreneurship and Skills of Tomorrow’ will also form an important prerogative of the University.

The University is offering variety of Courses at different skill levels. In one of its kind of certificate programme, youth will be trained in Haryanvi Folk art of Banchari. In addition, University is offering industry integrated Diploma, Advance Diploma, Graduation, Post Graduate Diploma and Post-Graduation Degree level programmes in areas like Robotics, Mechatronics, Heath Care, Banking etc.
All programmes of University are as per the learning outcomes enumerated under the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) for shifting ‘Qualification-Based’ learning to ’Skill-Based’, learning.
