NARULA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is a leading autonomous Engineering & Management college, located at Agarpara near Kolkata under the aegis of JIS Group Educational Initiative since 2001. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated to MAKAUT,WB- formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology has NBA accredited degree programmes in engineering. It boasts of the prestigious NIRF ranking among 15...0 selected institutes of India. It is also accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college has also received the notable World Bank Assisted and MHRD approved TEQIP (Phase II) grant for the advancement of Technical Education. It is eligible for receiving Central assistance under the recognition of 2(f) & 12(B) under UGC Act.
This college today is an Autonomous Institute which gives the faculty and its staff to frame its own syllabus and curriculum considering the needs of the society and also to produce Industry ready personalities. The Institute is equipped with state of the art laboratory and workshop facilities, computer facilities, Library and Information Centre, air-conditioned seminar hall, round the clock Internet facilities & separate hostels for Boys and Girls in and around the campus. During the last 16 years nearly 12000 students have graduated and post graduated in various disciplines of engineering and management from our college. Many of our College Alumni are holding good positions in a number of well known organizations, not only in our country but also abroad.
The College encourages faculty members to acquire higher degrees, to publish text books/papers and participate in Seminar/Workshop/Conferences that are held not only within our country but also abroad. Even some of our students have published scientific papers in different reputed journals. The college encourages students to take part in co-curricular activities like inter collegiate competitions in outdoor/indoor sports / games, cultural events and technical paper presentation competitions etc. The Institute has also Environment cell, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and different Professional Students’ Chapter in each department which help the students to strengthen their ability in different sectors of life.
The college has a full-fledged Placement and Training Centre. This centre also organizes several training programs related to development of soft skills to our college students. The Placement and Training Centre has enabled our college students to get job offers from many leading organizations even before completion of their formal degree.
