Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib is a charitable and humanitarian project undertaken by the SGPC to impart higher education to learners belonging to all creeds, castes and religions. The University was set up in 2011to commemorate the historic event of 400th Anniversary of compilation and the first installation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Situated at Fatehgarh Sahib, a plac...e sanctified by the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzada’s of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji – martyrdom which is nonpareil in the history of humankind – the University has evolved as a renowned institution of higher learning in the country in a short span of time.
With its mandate to focus on providing quality education, research and training in diverse fields which are of great contemporary relevance such as emerging technologies, basic, applied and medical sciences, Sikh religion, humanities, languages and physical education, the University offers a host of innovative programmes in these domains.
