The Govt. of Jharkhand has created a new Private University under the name “The Y.B.N University” situated at Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand vide its Gazette No.505 17th July’2017, as per the provision of the Act.
The academic and research activities of the university will be linked with the industrial and agriculture sector as well as other universities, R&D institutions, Gov...ernments and NGOs in the State and other region of the country. The university also linked with the universities aiming at collaborative academic and research programs as well as exchange programs.
Students and faculty exchange programs between the colleges will contribute to mutual growth and getting the services of good faculty right from the inception stage. The areas of Medical Science, AYUSH, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Management, Media and Mass Communication, General Education and Vocational Courses have been identified as key areas of focus. The University will focus on academic excellence, innovative research, Quality education, consultancy works and Training Programs.
“Education in real sense is a quest for truth. This is an unending journey towards knowledge and enlightenment. This journey opens up new avenues for development of the mankind and limits the role of negative emotions like envy, hatred, animosity and narrow mindedness. It also inculcates and increases the sense of pride and self respect if every individual fully understand the basic realities of education and accepts it as the way of life then it is sure the world would become a better place of habitants. It would not be out of place to mention that it works as a foundation stone of happy prosperous and strong nation”.
Therefore the responsibility of the management of the University is to create environment conducive of learning. That will not only give economic self reliance but will also lead to moral and intellectual upliftment of the society. The focal motto would be to inculcate the belief in the mind of the students that college is not just a place to earn a degree but also to gain the knowledge of character building for becoming a better human and a worthy citizen of Mother India.

YBN has built amphitheatre-style classrooms with wide aisles for students to reach their seats. All classrooms are air-conditioned, and can run modern audio-visual equipment like LCD Projectors. YBN offers world-class lab facilities in Engineering, Biotechnology, Mass Media, Architecture, Fashion Technology and Hotel Management among many others. Students work with state-of-the-art machines under expert guidance from an experienced and trained Faculty. YBN has a large library located in the Students Resource Centre. It has close to 50,000 text books, reference books and research journals.
