Of course we are not resting on our past achievements, plans for additional international professional accreditations for Math, Mass Communications and Public Relations are progressing.None of this would have been possible without the visionary guidance of our Board of Trustees (BOT) who established the quality expectations for GUST at its founding some 15 years ago.The BOT has been willing to back up the vision of world class education in Kuwait with support and the resources to achieve these goals in record time. To the Founding Board and the Current Board of Trustees at GUST: all associated with GUST are eternally grateful.

In the mid-1990s, a group of distinguished Kuwaiti academicians and businessmen realized the vital importance of establishing a modern university in Kuwait equal in quality to other prestigious universities abroad and to serve the ever-increasing educational demands of the local society and the Gulf region. Its primary purpose was to prepare generations of young leaders and professionals for the demands of a new global technological era.In January 1997, Kuwaiti Academic Group, comprised of 41 faculty members from Kuwait University, was established to lay the foundation for the proposed "University of the Future."
