Marijampole College (MC) is the only tertiary educational institution in the South of Lithuania. Established on August 24, 2001 after merging Marijampole Pedagogical High School, and Marijampole Agricultural High School, both having almost 100 years of operation in the sphere of education, technologies and agriculture.
The result is an educational institution open to advanced technologies... and higher education achievements, carrying out applied research activities, linking its activities to the needs of the labour market, and study evolution and development in social sciences, humanities, arts, technology, and biomedical areas.
We operate as a higher education service centre for studying, business, society, with particular responsibility for our country and unlimited openness to the world. We provide BA in the fields of humanities and social sciences (teacher and pre-school education training, social work, law, creative communication, languages, business management, finances etc.) and technologies (IT, car and tractor maintenance, land transport logistics, public catering, agriculture etc.)

The College carries out its activities in accordance with the LR Science and Study Act, the Statute of Marijampole College and other legal acts and documents. We, Marijampole College, perceive ourselves as a higher education service centre for studying, business, society, with particular responsibility for our country and unlimited openness to the world.
Our main goal – to prepare specialists in various areas meeting social, economic and market needs of South-West region of Lithuania and all Lithuania who are able to work independently in competitive market conditions, with particular emphasis on the preparation for the practices involved.
For us it is important that graduates get jobs by profession and employers are willing to accept them. We commit to ensure Lithuanian higher education and the European Union standards and scientific and technological level corresponding to curriculum content, modern training (learning) process. We seek the unity of science and education, integration into the European academic community.
Our study programmes focus on the students, encourage initiative, creativity and are based on the competences of future professionals. We create modern contemporary academic facilities with new technologies, we support the initiative and the latest methods of work.
We create conditions for a person to improve the knowledge and skills acquired, we carry out part-time studies according to personal needs and choices. We are part of social and economic development, of science and culture of our country.
It is important for us to follow humanistic attitudes and beliefs, and constantly improve and develop ourselves, that is why we appreciate the competence, professionalism, responsibility and creativity.
We do necessary applied research work for South-West region, we consult local government and economy entities. The research results can facilitate business solutions, for students and teachers – a valuable practical experience.
We develop partnership network in Lithuania and abroad, in order to take the best practices and implement them in the study process. We seek for internationality to cover all areas of college activities.
