Vilnius Business College (former E. Rastenienės language and management college) was founded in 1989 as one of the first non-governmental higher education institutions. In 2001 it was granted the status of non-university / college higher education institution and the right to provide students with the higher education diploma. Since 2007 Vilnius Business College is a higher education accredite...d school that provides occupational Bachelor"s degree in the fields of humanities, social and physical sciences.
Vilnius Business College (VBC) has qualified specialists from Lithuania and abroad. The majority of lecturers are practitioners (business consultants, directors of concerns, economists, accountants, bank employees, lawyers, IT specialists, sociologists, psychologists, foreign languages specialists). All lecturers do not have lower than Master‘s degree, some of them are doctors in different fields and have pedagogical or professor ranks. VBC academic community is motivated, creative and diligent, actively participates in various activities and further seeks to develop, acquire new skills and knowledge to impart into students.
Vilnius Business College is the leading college in Lithuania by the employability of its graduates. Our college graduates are viable in both, national and regional labour market. Almost 90% of the graduate students successfully find a job or start and develop their own business. Part of the graduates continue their studies in Lithuania or in foreign universities and colleges.
Vilnius Business College offers full-time (3 year) and part-time (4 year) nine study programmes in philology, IT, management and business administration. VBC provides individual attention to everyone. Professional teaching staff with an extensive experience ensures the excellence of studies and students experience. VBC has enhanced English teaching level and optionally offers to study other foreign languages, such as German, Russian, Spanish, French, Swedish or even Chinese.
Vilnius Business College started its international activity in 1994 and since then has been actively involved in the European LLP projects under Erasmus, Socrates, Nord Plus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig, E-learning, as well as international science and research activities. The College has developed an extensive network of foreign partners to promote the college in the international educational context and support students mobility.
The Strategy 2014 – 2020 of Vilnius Business College rests on the core pillars that have been shaped by changing economic-social environment and tendencies of the growing integration across scientific-educational-business sectors visible globally and in Lithuania, as well new requirements outlined by the European education system, which call to foster creative thinking and entrepreneurship, promote technological achievements and innovative ideas in modern society.
