We are a university focusing on the studies and researches in business, management, and applied languages. At YDU, we are committed to preparing business and management students in Taiwan with highest-level education and training. In Taiwan’s higher education field, we have some of the most modern facilities to integrate with rigorous curriculum to produce productive and positive educational ...results. YDU was solely founded and financed by Dr. Kwang-Ya Wang and his wife in 1999. With more than 50 years of educational experiences coupled with his lofty ideal of fostering first-class professionals in the field of business, management, and language in Taiwan, Dr. Wang came to choose the campus at a scenic village in Chaochiao Township, Miaoli County to start fulfilling his great aspiration of establishing one of the most exquisite, excellent universities in our country.
Under the guidance of Dr. Wang’s educational ideal, that is “Ethnics, Innovation, Quality and Performance” and his so-called “3-3-3” educational policy, faculty members and students have spared no efforts to push the school forward. As a result, YDU has attained numerous achievements in merely10 years. Its administrative function has been remarkably progressing day by day. With a yearly growth in both student population and faculty members, YDU proves itself to be a reputable school which has already been recognized by the public in Taiwan.
Approved by the Ministry of Education on Aug., 2009, the school changed its original name from “Yu Da College of Business” to “Yu Da University” that is now composed of 3 undergraduate schools accommodating 15 departments and 4 graduate institutes.
In order to furnish the aggregated services to corporates in all industries and Yu Da"s alumni, implement the cooperation between industry and academics and expedite technological research development inside the campus, we undertake series of related affairs on behalf of Yu Da College of Business. We endeavor to accomplish three objectives beneath: Educating students as being skillful employees; and Stimulating the interaction between industry and academy; and Integrating the concepts and comprehension of modern commercial management and cultural linguistic communication.
The executive principle of us is "to structure a completely viable and practical environment to all teachers and students." Therefore our mission focuses on the following aspects. First, to serve and satisfy our target customers, teachers and students in Yu Da by an open-minding and efficient attitude. Secondly, to seek for the approaches to reinforce the researching and learning capability of our customers. Finally, to consecutively instruct or consult the graduates how to achieve excellent career performances.
The Office of Students Affairs was the administration unit of counseling work. Handling the students’ affairs for the entire school, we emphasize the counseling of the students’ professional know-how and carry through the school motto .We hope that our students can be educated to become high commercial personnel with humanistic concern and commercial-technological know-how. The mission of the Office of Student Affairs is to provide services and resources to help the students in Yu Da University of Science and Technology advance in wisdom, develop a compassionate, responsible and healthy heart, and cultivate self-governance, which is the manner of “self-management, self-discipline, self-respect, self-love”, so that they can help themselves as well as other people, learn a proper conduct and grow up under a pleasant “whole-personality education” environment.
