Brest State Technical University is one of the largest scientific and educational centers in the western part of Belarus. It enables training of highly qualified specialists and conducts fundamental scientific research in the areas of construction, architecture, electronics, mechanical engineering, economy and ecology.

To enter the Republic of Belarus you’ll need the University’s invitation which enables you to apply for a study visa at the Embassy of Belarus in your home country.Once the invitation is issued, we will send it by EMS service to your home address within two weeks. The invitation is valid for three months only. That means you will have to apply for a visa within three months and enter Belarus within the time stated in the invitation.
Upon arrival you get a temporary stay registration that cannot exceed the validity dates of your entry visa. Within this period the student will have to complete all the enrollment procedure formalities. The permit of temporary stay is stamped at the back of the Migration Card.A Migration Card is obtained when entering the Republic of Belarus right at the beginning of the frontier control. Part “A” of the Migration Card is withdrawn by a frontier officer while you keep part “B” to submit it together with the other documents at the registering body in the place of your actual registering. When leaving Belarus you are to hand over part “B” of the Migration Card to an official at the frontier control point. Be careful to have a Migration Card when getting through the registering formalities.
Having arrived at University, you"ll get re-registered with the permit on temporary residence and a registration mark is put in your passport. The temporary residence permit is granted for a year, however, it may not exceed your medical insurance policy and passport expiry dates. The dates of the temporary residence, medical insurance policy and passport usually correspond. The university provides assistance to students in passing registration procedures and obtaining the temporary residence permit. The registration fee for the temporary residence is 630,000 rubles.
Medical insurance is required for all foreign citizens traveling to the Republic of Belarus. Visitors must obtain a medical insurance policy either from a Belarusian insurance company or from an insurance company accredited in Belarus.Medical inurance scan is to be sent to Technology Transfer Center: [email protected] visitors arriving without insurance valid in Belarus are required to buy a standard policy upon entry. The standard policy is not a comprehensive medical insurance. It covers only emergency medical care. The cost of a one-year medical insurance policy is USD 200 approximately
Exchange students following courses at the BrSTU can get the Transcripts of Records during the stay in Brest in the International Office of the BrSTU or via post after returning home at any time.International exchange students are offered accommodation in the campus based dormitory (2-or 3-bed rooms)Rooms have basic equipment such as: beds, a desk, a wardrobe, bedclothes and sheets, a chair, a desktop lamp. Kitchen is not equipped with cutlery, pots, pans or crockery.Bedclothes are being changed every week (every Tuesday).Students are provided with bedclothes and other equipment. Students are financially responsible for the provided bedclothes and equipment until they return them to the head of dormitory when checked-out.Students are required to clean their rooms themselves. You should leave the room nice and clean when moving out, the way you wish to find it yourself upon arrival.
Student Affairs Office incorporates various university services with the aim to promote the well being of students, enhance individual development, and develops community life of the University as a center of social life. The Social workers, psychologists, tutors, social residence service, the students’ club, the sports club, the Youth League of the Republic of Belarus, the students’ union – all are guided by the Student Affairs Office.
Volunteers of the Red Cross and the Belarusian association of students-architects, a university periodical Our Newspaper with two supplements the Tags and Campus also participate in social and cultural events of the University.
