The Polytechnic Institute of Beja is a Higher Education institution created in 1979, located in the city of Beja, 147 km from Faro, 177 km from Lisbon and 217 km from Seville. IPBeja is made up of four Schools – the School of Agriculture, the School of Education, the School of Technology and Management and the School of Health, with a range of more than 30 courses on offer, including Cursos T...écnicos Superiores Profissionais (TeSP - “Short-Cycle”), Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, Post-Graduate Studies and others. In service of society, it trains professionals in a range of areas, and plays an active role in the production and spread of knowledge, creation, transmission and publication of culture and knowledge of a professional nature, of targeted research and experimental development.
The Polytechnic Institute of Beja is a higher education institution in service of society, for the production and dissemination of knowledge creation, transmission and dissemination of culture and knowledge of a professional nature, targeted research and experimental development, concentrated especially in formations vocational and advanced technical training, professionally oriented and encouraging lifelong.
At the beginning of the century, and never losing sight of its primary mission - the development and regional promotion - the Polytechnic Institute of Beja is preparing once again to the challenges arising from the emergence of a new global era, determined to win new battle for the future of young students from the region and Europe. Currently the priorities of the agenda of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja are the issues related to internationalization, research and development and quality assurance, structural conditions for a real regional development in the context of globalization and fundamental to the implementation of the Bologna process and the consequent construction of the European Higher Education Area - AEES, with which the Institute is heavily involved.
